This is a full-time Registered Nurse Apprentice position within the LPN to RN (LEAP) program. The role involves working 36 hours per week on a 3-12hr shift schedule from 7p-7a. The program is designed for individuals who have recently graduated from a Practical Nursing Program and are pursuing an Associate Degree in Nursing to become a Registered Nurse. The apprentice will collect and interpret patient data, determine patient needs for intervention, and utilize the nursing process in collaboration with an RN to provide patient-centered care. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe environment, effective communication, functioning in a professional setting, participating in shared governance, acting as a patient advocate, and coordinating patient care delivery. The role also involves delegating tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel and other LPNs.
