About The Position

We are a high-paced, high-energy unit specializing in Obstetrics and Mother Baby, Well Newborn Care along with a Post Women’s Surgical unit. Within our unit we have: 40-MB rooms, 15-LDR rooms, 14-High Risk Antepartum, 8-bed OBED unit, 4-LIBC Birthing Suites, 4-Pre Post Rooms, and 3-OR suites (where we circulate all of our own cases). Within our unit, we also have full-time Lactation Consultants who see both inpatient and outpatients. Mercy OKC is the leading delivering hospital in Oklahoma City and second leading in the Ministry. Our teams offer a comprehensive suite of services at the Love Family's Women's Center. Nurses are expected to maintain competencies in Labor & Birth, Antepartum, and OB Emergency Department, and may be assigned to float between these departments based on patient care needs.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
Currently hold or be able to obtain a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed.
Meet all state board of nursing requirements.
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Prolonged standing and walking each shift.
Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Nice To Haves

One or more certifications may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.

Responsibilities

Maintain competencies in Labor & Birth, Antepartum, and OB Emergency Department.
Float between Labor & Birth, Antepartum, and OB Emergency Department based on patient care needs.
