This position offers a $2,000 (1 year stay-on agreement) or $4,000 (2 year stay-on agreement) Sign On Bonus with the agency, provided upon completion of a probationary period. Requirements

Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
State of Michigan license as a Registered Nurse.
One year experience (professional or paraprofessional) in treating or working with a person who has a mental illness.
Competent computer skills in data base programs and word processing.
Valid MI Driver’s License.
Access to reliable means of transportation for job-related use.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Serves as a staff nurse under the supervision of a Supervisor/Coordinator, performing a variety of duties within Older Adult Services (OAS).
Administers prescribed drugs and maintains medication records.
Participates in interdisciplinary planning of care and treatment, ensuring coordination of medical services.
Renders general nursing care and provides medical support in accordance with approved nursing practices.
Coordinates referrals from case managers requesting physician consultation and provides nursing consultation regarding consumers to case managers.
Provides information and assistance specific to the area of assignment.
Performs admissions screening on new consumers.
Serves as agency liaison.
Performs crisis intervention activities.
Provides case management.
Provides patient education.
Provides services on an outreach basis as indicated.
Carries out all activities of the program/sub-unit in a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies, and procedures.
