About The Position

The Registered Nurse, Ambulatory uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This role manages patient teaching, communication, triage, and documentation in Epic. The nurse ensures patient safety, privacy, and timely response to clinical needs. They collaborate with the care team, support quality improvement, promote evidence-based practice, and uphold PRIDE values and organizational goals.

Requirements

Registered Nurse license
Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Manages patient teaching, communication, triage, and documentation in Epic.

Triages phone calls utilizing critical thinking and assessment skills to evaluate the chief complaint and urgency of the problem.
Provides comprehensive medical record documentation.
Documents all communications and maintains patient confidentiality.
Participates in and/or organizes regular practice huddles.
Communicates effectively with team members and physicians.
Actively listens and seeks feedback.
Collaborates with team members to solve problems and resolve conflicts.
Functions as a resource/mentor and provides support to team members to resolve patient care and team concerns/issues.
Utilizes standard precautions including, appropriate isolation techniques.
Consistently follows the Ambulatory Health Care National Patient Safety Goals.
Collaborates with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidence-based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
Demonstrates knowledge of documentation guidelines.
Documents patient’s response to the ordered treatment protocol.
Reports changes in a patient condition to the clinician immediately.
Consistently collects and completes all required documentation.
Verifies accuracy of order entry and transcription.
Maintains competency in use of all needed information systems.
Able to communicate effectively verbally and electronically.
Monitors quality dashboards for assigned clinicians/practice.
Performs other duties per operational needs of the assigned clinical practice area and within the scope of RN license.
