About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Ambulatory Vascular Surgery Clinic for an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse, NY. This position involves performing comprehensive nursing assessments, triaging patient calls, assisting providers with procedures, monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, educating patients and families, coordinating care, documenting in EPIC EMR, collaborating with healthcare teams, and maintaining compliance with safety standards. Requirements

  • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Minimum 1.5 years of recent nursing experience within the past 2 years in an acute care facility of similar size and acuity.
  • Experience working in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers for travel candidates.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal orientation and supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and patient evaluations.
  • Triage patient phone calls and clinic inquiries, prioritizing care needs appropriately.
  • Assist providers with vascular surgery clinic procedures and patient care activities.
  • Monitor patient conditions and identify changes requiring intervention.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and clinic protocols.
  • Educate patients and families regarding vascular conditions, treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure care.
  • Coordinate diagnostic testing, referrals, follow-up appointments, and continuity of care.
  • Accurately document patient encounters and clinical information within EPIC EMR.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Maintain compliance with infection prevention, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while ensuring efficient clinic operations.
