Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Surgery - Days
About The Position
Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Ambulatory Surgery department. This role involves providing safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to all patient populations on a specific unit. The nurse will utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care, including patients and families as appropriate. Maintaining regulatory compliance and assuming responsibility for nursing care outcomes are key aspects of this position. The role also includes guiding unlicensed nursing personnel and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care. The position is part-time, with hours typically from 11a to 8:30p, Monday through Friday, with a rotating schedule of 2 days one week and 3 days the next. The nurse may need to travel to Evanston, Skokie, and Highland Park Hospitals as needed.
Requirements
- Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required.
- IL RN License
- CPR BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Basic Computer Skills
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- 6 mths RN experience in comparable role - Preferred
Responsibilities
- Independently provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations on a specific unit.
- Utilizes the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
- Includes patient and family in the plan of care as appropriate.
- Maintains regulatory compliance in individual practice.
- Assumes the responsibility, accountability, and authority for outcomes of nursing care and to make decisions based on their therapeutic relationship with the patient.
- Guides and directs assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
- Communicates and collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
