The Neuro Oncology team coordinates diagnostic testing, consultations, and treatment planning for patients with brain tumors including gliomas, meningiomas, metastatic lesions, and other CNS malignancies. Nursing skills gained: Symptom Management of Disease Process Care Navigation and care management. Utilize tools for Prior Authorization, Insurance risk/denial, work with all disciplines of healthcare for patient care needs. Critical thinking skills Patient and family education.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of RN experience
  • Associates of Nursing (ASN)
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
  • Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient policies
