About The Position

Join our growing Gynecology Division in Lexington, which includes General Gynecology and a team of providers delivering comprehensive outpatient gynecologic care. As our practice continues to expand with additional providers and increased patient volume, the RN plays a key role in supporting patient access, care coordination, office-based procedures, and an exceptional patient experience. Under the supervision of nursing and ambulatory leadership, the Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the Lahey Clinic Professional Practice Model, the Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act, and ANA Standards of Practice. Working closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical support staff, the RN coordinates care across the patient journey, supports office-based gynecologic procedures, provides patient education, and promotes safe, compassionate, and inclusive care. This role is integral to supporting the continued growth of the practice and ensuring efficient, coordinated care for a diverse patient population.

Requirements

Graduate of a state approved and/or accredited School of Nursing
Current license to practice professional nursing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration
BLS certification with American Heart Association
Demonstrates the necessary clinical skills and technical knowledge to provide care for patients according to Nursing Policy and Procedures.
Demonstrates the necessary clinical skills and knowledge to provide care for patients according to the clinic specific competencies.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Acute care medical-surgical experience.

Responsibilities

Performing systematic patient and family assessment relevant to practice settings and record the related health data.
Analyze and interpret recorded data. Make informed judgements as to the specific problems and elements of nursing care mandated by a particular situation.
Developing a culturally competent plan of care that identifies patient problems, expected outcomes, and addresses preventative measures. Respecting the values (religious/spiritual, ethnic, cultural) of the patient and family.

Administering medications including blood and blood products.
Establishes professional relationship with nurses, physicians and other colleagues and patients and families. The relationship includes the patient and family as a partner in care and is based upon Swanson’s Theory of Caring.
Educates the patient and family about the patient’s illness and treatment including preventative measures appropriate to the patient.
