The Four Corners Regional Health Center (FCRHC) is located in Red Mesa, Arizona near the borders of Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. FCRHC opened in January 2007 and is under the administrative oversight of the Shiprock Service Unit. FCRHC provides ambulatory care, sub-acute care, and community health services in the following areas: family medicine, optometry, dental, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, laboratory, social services, case management, mental health, public health nursing, diabetes education, health promotion, disease prevention, and traditional medicine. Requirements

  • Must possess a bachelor's degree in Nursing and eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement provision – OR – possession of a bachelor's degree in Nursing and at least one full year of professional nursing experience – OR – possess a diploma or associate degree in professional nursing.
  • Schooling must be approved by the ACEN or CCNE.
  • Shall possess a current, valid, unrestricted nursing license within the Continental United States.
  • Must have a BLS certificate through the American Heart Association.
  • Must have a minimum of one year experience.

Nice To Haves

  • two years experience is preferred.
  • Case management experience is also preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and assess the patient's clinical condition, recognizing, identifying, and interpreting serious situations and immediately deciding and taking appropriate action.
  • Formulate a nursing diagnosis.
  • Develop a plan of care for individual patients by interviewing patients and family members, reviewing the patient's health record and determining the kind of health and physical care required, including discharge planning.
  • Initiate appropriate measures in emergency situations when physicians are not immediately available.
  • Operate and monitor general and specialized nursing equipment utilized in the Ambulatory Care department.
  • Administer therapeutic measures and medications as prescribed by the physician.
  • Planning, providing, and documenting the teaching of patients and families in preventive curative and rehab measures.
  • Recording observations and nursing interventions as well as therapeutic measures administered and the status of coordinated activities between nursing and other professional disciplines.
  • Complete the Indian Health Service required training.
  • Provide proper and adequate services for patient care in accordance with the standard of nursing practices and shall be equal in quality to services normally performed for the public.
