About The Position

Provides oversight of the daily operations of the assigned department, including staffing and developing and implementing workflows and processes. Provides input to the leader regarding policies, procedures, systems, and operating budgets. The role is responsible for direct nursing leadership, nursing staff development, patient care, and patient advocacy. The supervisor may perform RN duties, including skillfully assessing patients’ health and responding to interventions, providing treatments, and offering education and counseling to improve patients’ and families’ self-management skills. The role supports continuous quality improvement efforts to achieve high-quality care and ongoing progress across care and service areas.

Requirements

Two years of nursing experience in a related specialty, ambulatory setting, or community health, with demonstrated leadership ability.
Current license with the appropriate State Board of Nursing.
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or ability to become certified within three months from the date of hire.
