About The Position

Elliot Health System strives to inspire wellness, heal our patients, and serve with compassion in every interaction. POSITION SUMMARY: Schedule is variable for RN coverage - no weekends or holidays. Thursdays are the required in-office day, and potentially coverage needs on Wednesdays depending on need. Hours are 8:30a-5:00p Delivers care to patients and families with needs ranging from basic to complex utilizing the nursing process. Creates a therapeutic and caring environment for patient and families. Practices in a manner consistent with the Elliot Hospital Interprofessional Practice model; the ANA’s Social Policy Statement, Scope and Standards of Practice, and the Nursing Code of Ethics; and relevant specialty standards of practice. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Psych experience required
  • New Hampshire Registered Nurse or Compact State Registered Nurse License.
  • Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • ACLS preferred.
  • Nurses are expected to pursue professional certification upon eligibility or within three years of entering the specialty practice.
  • Ability to advance basic computer skills as the health system adds new systems or performs upgrades to existing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Effective team contributor. Collaborates with peers, supports new ideas and offers solutions.
  • Participates in staff meetings, special projects, teams, outside courses, cross training and committees.
  • Supports organizational and departmental goals and strategic imperatives.
  • Triaging patient phone calls and patient advice requests in EPIC with provider collaboration, refill requests, completing utox screens, vital gathering.
  • Faxing lab results, working with pharmacies and community colleagues for continuity of care.
  • Safety planning with patients.
