Registered Nurse - Adult Mood Disorders
About The Position
The Adult Mood Disorders Unit at Sheppard Pratt is a 19-bed unit that treats adult patients with a variety of mood disorders. Patients are treated under the expert care of experienced psychiatrists, nursing, and other clinical staff. As a Registered Nurse/RN you will perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans. You will also administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician, teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families, and provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff. You will document and report patient progress to the treatment team.
Requirements
- Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland (or compact state) at time of appointment and continuously while in position.
- Candidates residing in a compact state may apply with a multistate license and must obtain a Maryland RN license within 60 days of relocation.

- Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred, but not necessary.
