About The Position

The Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor role within University Hospitals Behavioral Health offers a unique chance to become part of a dynamic, collaborative interdisciplinary team. This position adds value to patient care and significantly assists individuals with various issues. We currently offer an opportunity for a full time, days LPCC to support patients in Cleveland.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in clinical/community counseling (Required)
  • 3+ years Experience as LPCC (Required)
  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the State of Ohio (Required)
  • Must be proficient in performing diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, documentation, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Hospital/Health Agency experience (Preferred)
  • Previous experience working with this patient population is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Epic is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide intake evaluations and outpatient therapy services including intake evaluations, individuals, couples, family therapy, potential for group therapy within community at University Hospitals satellite offices.
  • Communicates/collaborates with the team using a multidisciplinary approach
  • Understands and follow policies and procedures regarding referrals to relevant hospital services - Intensive Outpatient Program, Inpatient, Electro-convulsive Therapy
  • Collaborates and consults with multidisciplinary team within the Mood Disorders Program
  • Maintain patient records in accordance with UH standards
  • Assist with organizational development and relationship management with relevant referral sources
  • Periodically participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
