About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Adult Behavioral Health unit at Ascension Via Christi St Joseph in Wichita, KS. The role is full-time with a night shift schedule. The nurse will be responsible for direct holistic patient recovery through comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments, designing individualized care pathways, facilitating therapeutic breakthroughs through group therapy and evidence-based interventions, advocating as a clinical expert within multidisciplinary team conferences, and monitoring and pivoting care strategies based on patient responses.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments to capture the full picture of a patient's physical and mental well-being.
• Develop and evolve nursing plans that align with the broader treatment team’s goals.
• Lead group therapy sessions and implement evidence-based interventions.
• Advocate as a clinical expert within multidisciplinary team conferences.
• Continuously evaluate patient responses to treatment and make real-time adjustments to care strategies.
