About The Position
Ascension Via Christi St Joseph is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Adult Psychiatry Nursing Unit. This is a full-time, night-shift position. Associates are eligible for tuition discounts and priority placement in select healthcare programs through an academic partnership with Wichita State University.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments to capture the full picture of a patient’s needs and strengths.
- Conduct or co-lead group therapy sessions, providing patients with the tools and community they need to heal.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to design and refine goals that reflect the patient’s evolving status.
- Implement and adjust nursing care plans in real-time, ensuring every intervention is purposeful and responsive to the patient’s unique challenges.
