About The Position

Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.

Requirements

2–3-years of recent RN experience in Acute Care Hospital Setting.
Acute Rehabilitation Hospital Experience
Demonstrate competency in ARU nursing
Experience with holistic approach to meeting patients medical, vocational, educational, and environmental needs.
This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
Current healthcare provider CPR certification
ACLS for Adult Critical Care

Nice To Haves

BSN or CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse)
Charge nurse experience

Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining the knowledge and abilities essential to the performance of stated behaviors.
Carries out legal responsibilities within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act.
Accountable to the NURSE SVC SUPV 2 for overall work performance.
