About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Acute Care for an exciting Travel or Local job in Hot Springs, SD. This role involves delivering safe and effective nursing care, performing comprehensive patient assessments, developing individualized care plans, administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient conditions, and maintaining accurate documentation in EPIC EMR. The nurse will also educate patients and families, prioritize care needs in a fast-paced environment, follow safety standards, and provide leadership and support to staff. Participation in continuing education and promoting teamwork are also key aspects of this position.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in South Dakota or eligibility for reciprocity
- Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and effective nursing care using the nursing process
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and respiratory treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation in EPIC EMR
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge care
- Prioritize patient care needs effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Follow infection control and patient safety standards consistently
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to assigned staff members
- Assist with orientation and training of new employees
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
- Promote teamwork and positive communication across departments
