About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) joining our team will support those in our facilities who are interfacing and providing care to our patients and community members to positively impact our mission of making communities healthier. Our Acute Care Unit is a 31-bed inpatient unit specializing in adult acute care & oncology overflow. Nurses on this unit typically manage a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio. This dynamic environment is a great place to start for RN’s looking to develop critical care skills and offers nurses the opportunity to strengthen their clinical expertise while delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Requirements

• Current Alabama or compact state RN license
• Associate’s degree in nursing required
• Basic Life Support required
• ACLS, required within 6 months of hire

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
• Experience preferred, but new grads welcomed to apply.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
