About The Position

Reporting to the Manager of Mental Health and Addictions, the incumbent will provide specialized psychiatric nursing care, including all aspects of the nursing process to patients experiencing a broad range of psychiatric, social and medical problems. In addition, provides staff supervision and assumes periodic charge nurse responsibilities. Requirements

  • Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
  • Registered/eligible with College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of SK - CRPNS
  • Advanced - Interpersonal skills
  • Advanced - Organizational skills
  • Advanced - Assessment skills
  • Knowledge of the the Provincial Mental Health Services Act and Regulations
  • Competency in psychiatric nursing assessments, care planning & treatment
  • The ability to demonstrate excellent working knowledge of psychiatric conditions
  • Knowledge of commonly used psychotropic medications
  • Ability to be flexible and willing to change
  • Must upload all relevant documents (ex: certificates, diplomas, proof of enrollment, licenses and/or memberships) relating to the qualifications of the position.
  • Must bring a valid Criminal Record Check (CRC) to the interview; it must be dated within six (6) months and include a vulnerable sector search.
