About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse 2 in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) with a special 'Weekend Days' (WOW) designation. The WOW position requires the nurse to work every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and offers an increased hourly pay rate. The role involves coordinating and delivering patient care using a health care team philosophy, including patient teaching and discharge planning. The nurse will also coordinate activities with ancillary departments and maintain hospital and departmental standards.

Requirements

One year experience as an RN needed
Graduate of accredited school of nursing
Demonstrate ability to recognize patients' individual needs based on medical conditions, age, limitations and planned procedures.
Requires good judgment in delivering patient care
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to function in stressful situations
Current review in CPR
Must be willing to rotate shifts, days off and work area
May occasionally be required to work overtime
Current Mississippi State license as RN

Accurately and promptly implements physicians' orders.
Administers medications and intravenous solutions skillfully and correctly.
