About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse 2 for the Operating Room. Located in Nashville, Tennessee, VUMC is a leading institution in patient care, education, and research. The Registered Nurse 2 will apply the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, including education and continuum of care planning. This role involves effective communication with the healthcare team, collaboration in setting patient goals, and evaluating progress. The position also requires continuous professional growth in accordance with Board of Nursing standards. The Registered Nurse 2 will collaborate in establishing the plan of care, coordinate and implement care delivery, and anticipate patient needs across the continuum. They will analyze patient information to determine nursing diagnoses, continually evaluate patient progress, and apply interventions for effective outcomes. Additionally, the role involves employing strategies to promote health and a safe environment. This is a general overview, and additional duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities
