About The Position

The Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. The Level II Registered Nurse contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. The Level II Registered Nurse supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities. This is a full-time position on the Acute Care for Elders Unit, providing multidisciplinary care to a range of adult patients with exposure to various medical diagnoses. The ACE model of care focuses on patient-centered care, proactive restorative activities, nurse-driven care planning, and comprehensive care transition planning. The unit offers opportunities for professional growth while working collaboratively with physician teams, social workers, PT & OT, and others in a team-focused environment. The ideal candidate possesses enthusiasm for learning and teamwork.

Requirements

Diploma, Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing Program.
Active New York State RN license in good standing.
Minimum of 6-12 months of RN experience.
Enthusiasm for learning and working in a team.

Nice To Haves

Experience with the ACE model of care.
Experience in charge nurse, preceptor, or committee member roles.
