About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a Registered MRI Technologist to join the Imaging Department at Avita Ontario Hospital. The technologist performs a variety of MRI procedures and adapts MRI protocols to patients’ needs and physicians’ orders. This role serves as a first-line interface with customers and is responsible for patient safety while patients are in MRI. The technologist participates in continuous quality improvement activities and continually advances MRI knowledge, including familiarity with current examinations and those introduced through future technological advancements.
Requirements
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry and Ohio Department of Health (ODH) licensure.
- BLS certification, or obtain it within 30 days of hire.
- One year of radiologic or imaging experience.
Nice To Haves
- MRI registry.
- Specific experience and training in CAT/MRI.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of MRI procedures.
- Adapt MRI protocols to patients’ needs or physicians’ orders.
- Serve as the first-line interface with customers.
- Ensure patient safety while patients are in MRI.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
- Continually advance MRI knowledge and remain knowledgeable about current examinations and those that may be added with future technological advancements.
