As a Midwife, you will provide nursing and midwifery services within a dynamic health service environment, supporting women and families through high-quality, safe care. You will build and consolidate your clinical knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development while maintaining accountability for your own standards of care and delegated activities. At the RN/M1 level, you will develop from a novice to a proficient practitioner, strengthening your capability through experience and continuous learning. At the RN/M2C level, you will bring consolidated experience and may take on portfolio responsibilities, while also supporting the guidance and development of less experienced staff as part of a predominantly clinical role.

Requirements

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and holds, or is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate (RN/M1 & RN/M2C)
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice (RN/M1 & RN/M2C)
  • At least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience (RN/M2C)
  • Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses (RN/M2C)
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check
  • Immunisation compliance as indicated on the Role description (Category A - direct contact with blood or body substances)
