About The Position

We are seeking experienced and energetic RMAs to join our newly opened assisted living facility. This role involves dispensing medications, observing patients, assisting nurses, and performing various tasks related to client care while adhering to ethical, legal, and safety standards.

Requirements

• Must be registered with the state as a Registered Medication Aide!
• Must pass state background check and drug screening.
• CPR/BLS, First Aid, TB, RMA certification.
• Must have experience!
• Have experience working with MAR and laptops.

Responsibilities

• Dispense oral, inhalation, and topical medications to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, unless otherwise allowed by state law.
• Observe patients for drug reactions and report any problems to the nurses.
• Perform tasks associated with medication administration, including taking patient vital signs, calculating medication dosages, and stocking the medication cart.
• Record medication administration according to agency procedure.
• Assist the nurse in providing care to clients, including observation and reporting of client needs.
• Recognize and perform tasks according to level of education and training.
• Accept responsibility and accountability for own performance according to state laws and regulations.
• Perform tasks in an ethical, legal, and caring manner.
• Perform tasks safely and effectively to assure client comfort and welfare.
• Respect client rights.
• Protect confidential client information unless otherwise required to promote client safety and welfare.
• Follow federal, state, and agency regulations to protect own health and that of others.
• Seek guidance from the nurse as needed to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
