Registered Medication Aide & Certified Nurse Aide (7P-7A)
About The Position
Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg, a 5-star-rated Continuing Care Retirement Community in Central VA, is seeking a Registered Medication Aide & CNA to join our team! This is a full-time, night shift (7P-7A) position available with a complete benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off, 403B with match, and more. The role involves performing a variety of resident care tasks in the Memory Support and Assisted Living Unit under the direction of the Administrator. This includes taking and recording vital signs, promptly reporting abnormal resident conditions to the charge nurse, and escorting/transporting residents to various facility locations. A key responsibility is administering medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse or pharmacist, including oral, topical, and insulin injections as scheduled. The Registered Medication Aide & CNA will also notify the charge nurse of residents requiring injections.
Requirements
- A valid VA State CNA license is required.
- Registered Medication Aide license is required to administer medication.
Nice To Haves
- Two to three years of experience working with dementia patients is preferred.
- Team members are required to receive the influenza vaccine.
- Recommend the COVID-19 vaccine.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of resident care tasks in the Memory Support and Assisted Living Unit under the direction of the Administrator.
