Registered Medication Aide & Certified Nurse Aide (7P-7A)
About The Position
Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg, a 5-star-rated Continuing Care Retirement Community in Central VA, is seeking a Registered Medication Aide & CNA to join our team! This is a full-time, night shift (7P-7A) position available with a complete benefits package. The role involves performing a variety of resident care tasks in the Memory Support and Assisted Living Unit under the direction of the Administrator. Responsibilities include taking and recording vital signs, promptly reporting abnormal resident conditions to the charge nurse, and escorting/transporting residents to various facility locations. A key duty is administering medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse or pharmacist, including oral, topical, and insulin injections as scheduled.
Requirements
- A valid VA State CNA license is required.
- Registered Medication Aide license is required to administer medication.
Nice To Haves
- Two to three years of experience working with dementia patients is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of resident care tasks in the Memory Support and Assisted Living Unit under the direction of the Administrator.
- Take and record vital signs and promptly report abnormal resident conditions to the charge nurse.
- Escort/transport residents to various facility locations.
- Administer medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse or pharmacist.
- Administer prescribed medications (oral, topical, and insulin injections) as scheduled on assigned units and shifts.
- Notify the charge nurse of residents requiring injections.
