Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Technology, Chemical or Biological Science (Required)
• American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) certification or American Medical Technologists (AMT) Required

Nice To Haves

• 1 - 2 years’ experience clinical in a related field (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Performing a full range of laboratory tests
• Confirming the accuracy of results
• Reporting findings to physicians, pathologists, or other healthcare providers
• Rotating through key laboratory areas including Transfusion Services, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry, and Fibrinolysis
• Operating and maintaining laboratory instruments
• Utilizing the lab computer system
• Adhering to established protocols
• Prioritize, organize, and manage workload efficiently
• Ensure accuracy, quality, and completeness of laboratory work
• Handle complex assignments with sound judgment and problem-solving skills
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of procedures and quality assurance practices, including documentation
