Requirements

Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Technology, Chemical or Biological Science (Required)
American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) certification OR American Medical Technologists (AMT) is Required

Nice To Haves

1 - 2 years’ experience clinical in a related field (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Performing a full range of laboratory tests
Confirming the accuracy of test results
Reporting laboratory findings to the doctors, pathologists, or other physicians
Working in any of the major areas of the laboratory: Transfusion Service, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry and Fibrinolysis
Operating and maintaining a variety of laboratory instruments
Utilizing laboratory computer system in performance of duties
Maintaining strict adherence to established policies and procedures
Accuracy/Quality/Completeness of Work
Complex Assignments Received/Delegated/Completed
Judgement Skills/Problem Solving Skills
Overall Procedure Knowledge/Quality Assurance Knowledge – including documentation as needed
Overall Procedure Knowledge / Quality Assurance Knowledge -including documentation
