About The Position

A healthcare facility located near Faribault, MN is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Technician to join their team. This role performs diagnostic laboratory procedures that provide timely and accurate test results for providers to use in appropriately diagnosing and treating patients. The technician will follow the lab's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting, and maintaining records of patient test results. They will properly identify and collect adequate specimens for laboratory testing via venipuncture, capillary collection, arterial collection (radial only), etc. The role also requires adherence to facility policies as well as federal and state laws, regulations, and guidelines. The technician should show initiative and/or cooperation to maintain workflow, participate in teamwork, and be flexible with sharing training duties for new employees and MLT/MLS students.

Requirements

Medical Laboratory Technician must be certified with one of the following: ASCP, HEW, HHS, ASMT.
Valid Driver’s License and the ability to travel to other work sites as needed with own transportation
BLS upon hire
