About The Position
Riverton Hospital, part of the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network, is seeking Registered and Enrolled Nurses for permanent positions. This dynamic hospital has 7 acute beds and 17 RAC aged care beds, serving the local community and surrounding areas. The role offers exposure to a variety of patient presentations, from emergency retrieval to long-term aged care. Located in the scenic town of Riverton, South Australia, the hospital fosters a positive culture where staff are valued and recognized for their contributions. Requirements
- Registration or eligibility for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Undergo employment screening.
- Meet immunisation requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient presentations from emergency retrieval to low priority attendances.
- Develop and maintain skills in triage, acute emergency, mental health, and palliation.
- Provide ongoing management of care for aged care residents.
- Take on additional portfolios such as blood management, palliative care, education of students, work health and safety, and infection control.
- Contribute to a positive culture and provide the best service for patients and residents.
