About The Position

This role is for a Registered Dietitian in a Cardiac Clinic at Saint Thomas Heart Midtown in Nashville, TN. The position is full-time, working days. The dietitian will provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative nutritional assessments, monitor nutrition status, and manage individualized care plans for long-term bariatric success. They will also provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative nutritional counseling, focusing on diet progression, supplementation, and long-term habits, while continuously monitoring patient progress to adjust individualized care plans. Additionally, the role involves empowering individuals by facilitating bariatric education classes, hosting support groups, and teaching mindful eating and sustainable behavior modification. The dietitian will partner closely with surgeons and multidisciplinary care teams, ensuring accurate, compliant medical record (EMR) documentation and accreditation compliance.

Requirements

Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist credentialed from the Commission on Dietetic Registration obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
Outpatient experience
Experience working with cardiac patients
