About The Position
Sodexo is seeking a per diem Registered Dietitian for Luther Manor located in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Luther Manor is a 300-bed continuing care retirement community. This position is responsible for covering vacations throughout the year as needed. Requirements
- Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in Wisconsin
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Be a self-starter and a team player
- The ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff
- Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
- For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
- Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
- Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
- 3 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical nutrition care to long-term care, and memory care.
- Conduct quality improvement initiatives such as test trays and meal rounds
- Meet DOH/state/federal and company standards
- Be an active member of the interdisciplinary care conferences
- Represent the Food & Nutrition Department as a liaison with the medical and nursing staff
- Support the food service operation as needed
- Work collaboratively with onsite dining leadership
