About The Position

This position provides complex evidence-based nutrition care according to professional scope and standards with minimal support, supporting Logan Health's mission, vision, and values. This seasonal role involves delivering evidence-based nutrition care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment, specifically supporting Oncology patients. Located minutes from Glacier National Park, two ski resorts, and Flathead Lake in Kalispell, the area offers extensive outdoor adventure, making it ideal for nature lovers and families. The role focuses on improving patient outcomes through specialized oncology nutrition support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration OR RD-eligible (must obtain credential and Montana licensure within 90 days) OR Licensed Nutritionist through the Montana State Board of Medical Examiners
  • Ability to obtain RQI Responder certification within 7 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based nutrition care using the Nutrition Care Process
  • Assess, diagnose, and implement nutrition interventions for oncology patients
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and department meetings
  • Document care accurately and thoroughly in the EHR
  • Educate patients and families on nutrition-related needs
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical nutrition projects
