About The Position

DiningRD is actively seeking a Registered Dietitian/s for skilled care communities. Candidate must be able to complete onsite visits Monday-Friday during regular business hours. This position involves approximately 14 hours per week across two facilities. DiningRD has been nurturing joy through food with long-term care dining programs since 1994, offering comprehensive food and nutrition programs designed and supported by registered dietitians with extensive food service experience. We currently provide dietitian consulting and menu services to over 4,000 healthcare communities nationwide. Requirements

  • Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials
  • Licensed (if required by State)
  • CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required)
  • State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required)
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner
  • Enjoy coaching and mentoring others

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of consulting experience is preferred
  • Experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required
  • clinical nutrition: 2 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Improve the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards.
  • Work closely with the clinical team to monitor the nutritional needs of residents.
  • Provide nutrition education.
  • Work on an MDS with the team.
  • Formulate nutrition assessments with input from the dining manager.
  • Provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Train and provide guidance to dining managers and staff.
  • Assist with policy development.
  • Monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.
  • Complete onsite visits Monday-Friday during regular business hours.
