About The Position

The Registered Dietitian plans nutritional programs and provides education to assist in the promotion of health and management of disease. This is a temporary role, eligible for benefits, working up to 40 hours per week through January 2027. The position is based at our Edina location and offers flexibility in scheduling, with options for 3, 4, or 5 days in the clinic per week. Almara Women's Health, an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), is a physician-led group dedicated to empowering patients with greater control over their healthcare.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an institution credentialed by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
  • Completed ACEND accredited supervised practice program.
  • Licensed Dietitian through the Minnesota Board of Dietetics and Nutrition Practice.
  • Certified as a Registered Dietitian (RD) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, practices, and business ethics guidelines.
  • Ability to complete job-required training.
  • Ability to comply with all applicable laws and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.).
  • Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance.
  • Work in the clinic during business hours.
  • Travel independently throughout the clinic (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping, or sitting for long periods of time may be required.
  • Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately, and meet deadlines.
  • Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of daily operations.
  • Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Understand and execute a variety of instructions.
  • Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Travel to other work locations, if required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) credentialing preferred OR experience in management of patients with diabetes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care using medical nutrition therapy and diabetes self-management education for an assigned patient population.
  • Provide counseling and education services to patients with diabetes, obesity, and other conditions requiring nutritional management.
  • Provide nutrition education to patients and their family or support system.
  • Evaluate patient and family response to education.
  • Implement an individualized nutritional care plan, communicating it to the provider, establishing a follow-up system, and maintaining documentation.
  • Collaborate in the development, review, updating, and implementation of educational materials to meet patient and health professional needs.
  • Utilize approved protocols for medication management to advance the plan of care when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers in patient management and care delivery per protocol and as needed to ensure the highest quality patient care.
  • Communicate regularly with MDs and APPs to implement high-quality nutrition programs.
  • Partner with Providers and Leaders to ensure the goals and strategies of Women’s Health are implemented in the growth and development of nutrition services.
  • Practice within the scope of MN State rules/regulations.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Perform any and all other duties as assigned.
