Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential/certified
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or Food Science
  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Knowledge of USDA child nutrition programs and school meal standards
  • Proficient in menu planning software (like NutriKids, Genesis, Meal Tracker, Simple Serve)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • A warm, people-first attitude and a passion for making a difference
  • Willingness to travel locally to support schools when needed
  • Experience in healthcare/schools/food manufacturing setting
  • Proficient in various state and regulatory nutritional standards under the Dietary Guidelines for Americans for multiple age groups (infants to elderly), the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program under the Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act and the USDA
  • Able to handle multiple tasks in a changing work environment and work well under deadline focused conditions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, passion for results and attention to detail
  • Requires occasional travel using own transportation to client locations within and outside New York to accommodate field requests

  • Be our go-to nutrition expert during state audits and reviews
  • Offer friendly nutrition guidance to students and families
  • Create fun, engaging wellness tools and materials for schools
