About The Position

AMG Physical Rehabilitation Hospital – Lafayette is seeking a PRN Dietitian to advise and counsel inpatients on food and nutrition. This role involves assessing dietary needs and planning therapeutic diets for inpatients based on their current health concerns, analyzing the effects of interventions, and collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and therapists to improve patient outcomes. The dietitian will also oversee and implement the preparation and service of meals for patients, manage the dietary staff and their performance, and ensure the dietary department complies with company guidelines and all relevant state, federal, and governing body laws and regulations. A key responsibility is ensuring patients are consistently served diets as ordered, following guidelines for meal times and meal temperatures. Requirements

Current Dietitian licensure required in state of practice
Continuing Education of minimum hours every year to sustain credentials.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

Responsible for oversight of dietary staff and their performance.
