About The Position

The Dietitian – Outpatient provides clinical nutrition assessments, recommendations, and education to hospital and/or outpatients, including group and individual self-management diabetes education, depending on work location. May also, provide nutritional care to oncology, homecare and hospice departments. May be required to travel to other facilities.

Requirements

Degree in Dietetics
Experience with demonstrated skills in all phases of Diet Therapy and Diabetics self-management education
Must be Registered Dietitian through Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) upon start
Must be licensed as a Certified Dietitian through WI Department of Safety & Professional Services (If WI certification is not present at hire, must obtain within 4 months of start)
Current BLS – American Heart Association or BLS – American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)
If working in outpatient setting, must obtain Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist (CDCES) through the Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education (CBDCE) once requirements for testing are met

Nice To Haves

At least 2 years post education experience working with diabetes patients
