Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (Bilingual: Mandarin)
About The Position
POD Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) licensed in New York State to join their expanding telehealth team. This role involves providing impactful, one-on-one medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and counseling to patients across New York remotely. The RDN will work with patients managing chronic conditions, digestive health, weight concerns, and general wellness. The position offers clinical autonomy within a supportive, collaborative, multidisciplinary care team. POD Health is a virtual clinic focused on comprehensive wellness and remote patient monitoring, aiming to empower individuals to manage their health from home.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) via the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist (CDN) license in New York State.
- At least 1 year of clinical or outpatient nutrition experience.
- Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athena, SimplePractice, AdvancedMD).
- Strong communication and tech literacy.
- A secure remote workspace with high-speed internet.
- Bilingual (Mandarin Chinese).
Nice To Haves
- Medicare and/or Medicaid provider enrollment.
- Prior telehealth or digital health experience.
- Specialty certifications (e.g., CDCES, renal nutrition, pediatric nutrition).
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual nutrition assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Deliver one-on-one counseling and follow-ups via HIPAA-compliant telehealth tools.
- Accurately document all encounters in the EHR system.
- Collaborate with physicians, NPs, nurses, and care coordinators.
- Educate patients and families on dietary strategies and supplement use.
- Stay current on evidence-based practices and telehealth standards.
- Contribute to patient satisfaction and care quality improvement efforts.
