About The Position

Brothers of Mercy, Western New York’s largest 5-Star Skilled Nursing Facility and one of the top-performing nursing homes in New York State, is expanding our award-winning Rehabilitation and Short Stay programs… and we’re looking for a dedicated Registered Dietician (RD) to help lead our nutritional services team. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing team that values collaboration, professional development, and clinical excellence. The RD – Director of Nutritional Service will oversee the daily operations of clinical nutritional services, supporting clinical staff and ensuring the delivery of exceptional outcomes and service. This position works closely with interdisciplinary team members to promote smooth transitions, individualized care plans, and successful discharges home.

Requirements

Current Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through CDR.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
Strong communication and motivational counseling skills.
Compassionate, organized, and enthusiastic about health promotion.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and support our clinical nutrition team to uphold clinical and service excellence.
Provide evidence-based nutrition counseling and education to residents/patients.
Develop individualized nutrition care plans based on health needs and goals.
Collaborate with rehabilitation, admissions, and social work teams to ensure efficient, patient-centered care.
Monitor quality indicators and drive performance improvement initiatives.
Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards and documentation requirements.
