About The Position

The Registered Dietitian works collaboratively as a member of the Health Care Team to provide patient and family focused nutrition care including nutrition assessments, nutrition diagnoses, nutrition interventions, and nutrition monitoring and evaluation. With the use of medical directives and delegated acts, the Registered Dietitian manages oral diets, enteral and parenteral nutrition support, medications, labs and IVs. Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
  • Minimum of two years clinical nutrition experience in an acute care hospital required
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and hospital information system/EMR
  • Experience in enteral and parenteral nutrition required
  • Effectively prioritizes and manages workload both independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrates collaborative working relationships with interdisciplinary team members in the in-patient environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and team, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills.
