About The Position

CareOne at Newton is seeking a Registered Dietician for a Per Diem position in their Long Term Care and Short Term Rehab (Skilled Nursing) facilities. This role involves coordinating the nutritional care of residents and patients, participating in care planning, providing nutritional counseling, and ensuring compliance with DOH/state/federal and company standards. The position requires independent performance of duties.

Requirements

• Registered Dietician licensure within the state of operations
• High comfort level with enteral nutrition
• At least one year of experience in a long-term care setting
• Experience with MDS 3.0
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with electronic charting and the Nutrition Care Process
• Familiarity with state survey process and compliance to nutrition care regulations

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nutritional care of residents and patients by completing nutritional assessments
• Participate in care planning meetings as required
• Provide nutritional counseling and education for residents and family
• Meet DOH/state/federal and company standards
• Perform duties independently without training or direction
