Our office, Periodontal Associates Inc, in Lyndhurst OH, is looking for a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. In addition to our stunning Lynhurst office, we also have a beautiful location in Mentor, offering the flexibility to work from either office based on business needs. We are looking for a talented and skilled Dental Hygienist to help us accomplish our mission to improve the lives of our patients by providing a world-class specialty experience for every patient. Requirements
- Newly licenced Dental Hygienist are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- A strong attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- A high school diplomas
- Hygiene Provider State Licensure
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough and accurate oral assessments to identify patients' oral health conditions.
- Clean and remove plaque, tartar, and stains from patients' teeth using various dental instruments.
- Administer local anesthesia to patients as required for dental procedures.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and using mouthwash.
- Provide personalized recommendations for oral care products based on individual patient needs.
- Take dental X-rays and process them for the dentist's evaluation.
- Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride varnishes or sealants to protect patients' teeth.
- Conduct periodontal charting and assist the dentist in identifying and treating gum diseases.
