The Registered Dental Hygienist is responsible for the provision of preventative and treatment services in a Patient Centered Health Home context, with a focus on access to care. This role involves conducting oral health assessments, reviewing oral health conditions, taking dental radiographs and impressions, performing preventative and hygiene services, removing calculus and plaque, polishing restorations, applying preventative materials, teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies, maintaining sanitary/sterile armamentarium, adhering to infection control procedures, assuring operatory sanitation, working with dental assistants, organizing/assisting community oral health events, collaborating with community health staff, conducting and recording oral health findings, assuring completion of forms and signatures for assessments, and organizing and maintaining follow-up procedures. The position also requires adherence to the Attendance and Absenteeism Policy and the ability to present to and work at any FHCN location based on business need. Other duties as assigned.
