About The Position

Dental Hygienist – Axiom Dentistry (Clayton) Axiom Dentistry in Knightdale, NC is seeking a dependable, patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our supportive and friendly team. Schedule & Compensation Monday–Thursday, 7:15am–4:30pm (1-hour lunch) Occasional Fridays as needed 32–36 hours per week Competitive hourly pay with production bonus opportunities Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, paid holidays Scrubs provided What You’ll Do Provide preventive and periodontal care including prophies, SRP, perio maintenance, local anesthesia, and nitrous (if certified) Perform periodontal charting, radiographs, assessments, and co-diagnosis with the doctor Maintain accurate digital charting and documentation Educate patients on oral health, perio disease, and home care Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure excellent patient experiences Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control standards

Requirements

  • Active North Carolina RDH license
  • Proficiency in periodontal care, assessments, and digital radiographs
  • Experience with dental software (Open Dental, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar)
  • Strong communication and patient education skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time efficiently
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with laser therapy, advanced perio care, or salivary diagnostics
  • Certification in nitrous oxide or laser dentistry
  • Experience with CBCT, digital scanning, or advanced imaging
  • Strong case acceptance and patient motivation skills
