About The Position
Small, single-doctor dental practice in Sequim is seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join a well-organized, efficient team in a fun and supportive environment. We are currently seeking a part-time RDH (3 days per week) to cover Tuesday through Thursday.
Requirements
- Active RDH license and in good standing with WSDHA
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Ability to assess patient needs and deliver appropriate care
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice To Haves
- Experience with dental charting and documentation
Responsibilities
- Perform dental hygiene procedures including scaling, root planing, and prophylaxis
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide individualized recommendations
- Take digital radiographs
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation as needed
- Maintain a sterile and compliant clinical environment
- Document patient care and treatment in electronic health records
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure patient and staff safety
