About The Position

We are seeking a talented, compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our close-knit clinical team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be a key provider of our comprehensive preventative care, helping patients maintain and achieve their ideal smiles. You will work alongside Dr. Reintjes to deliver the top-rated "bedside manner" and exceptional clinical care our North Fresno community relies on.

Requirements

  • Active California RDH License: Must hold and maintain a valid Registered Dental Hygienist license in the state of California.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
  • A warm, professional demeanor with a proven ability to reassure anxious patients, take the time to explain procedures, and put people at ease.
  • Strong technical skill set in modern dental hygiene therapies, gentle instrumentation, and digital imaging technology.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills to seamlessly collaborate with Dr. Reintjes, dental assistants, and our front desk team.
  • A dependable professional who takes pride in punctuality and providing consistent, dedicated care for our Tuesday and Wednesday schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide monitoring is highly preferred.
  • 1+ years of clinical dental hygiene experience is preferred, but passionate new graduates dedicated to personalized patient care are welcome to apply!

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough, gentle dental cleanings (prophylaxis), digital radiographs (X-rays), oral cancer screenings, and periodontal risk assessments.
  • Execute high-quality scaling and root planing (SRP) and localized antibiotic therapies as clinically indicated.
  • Deliver personalized oral hygiene instruction and home-care strategies tailored to each patient's unique dental health goals.
  • Partner closely with Dr. Reintjes to identify restorative, cosmetic (such as veneers), or implant needs, helping to explain treatment benefits clearly so patients feel comfortable and informed.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed electronic patient charts and clinical notes. Adhere strictly to OSHA, CDC, and infection control standards to ensure a safe environment for our team and patients.
  • Maintain a smooth clinical flow, prep treatment rooms, and actively contribute to our warm, supportive team culture.
