This role involves assisting a dentist under direct supervision, performing chairside duties, operating radiography equipment, applying topical agents, removing dressings, and potentially filling in as a Dental Receptionist. The position requires adherence to infection control and sterilization protocols.

Requirements

Must possess both California license for Registered Dental Assistant and sealant certificate.
Graduation from high school.
Possession of State Radiological Certification.
Must adhere to Clinica Sierra Vista’s employee health/immunization requirements or provide a valid exemption request for subsequent approval.

Nice To Haves

Two years’ experience is preferred.
Preferably bilingual in English and Spanish.
Willingness to participate in expanded duty program as such program becomes operational.
Desire to work closely with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

Be proficient in four handed dentistry.
Assist the dentist in all aspects of chairside assisting, including draping and seating the patient, tray setup, room preparation, and confirming treatment recording.
Operate Dental radiography equipment.
Apply topical agents.
Remove dressings.
Be an active and enthusiastic team member.
Fill in as Dental Receptionist to answer telephone calls, route and assist incoming patients, and perform other designated tasks.
Follow Infection Control policies.
Follow sterilization protocols and demonstrate adherence to the sterilization process.
Perform other work-related duties as required.
