About The Position
Westmount Dental Centre, a dental practice in North West Edmonton with over 35 years of experience, is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to join their team. They offer a full range of dental services including general, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry, with a philosophy centered on patient care. This is a fixed-term position until October 2027.
Requirements
- Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
Nice To Haves
- Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
- Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
- Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
- Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
- Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
- Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
- Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
- Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour
